Topic: Just Do It! Self-Publishing Your Work
You have, like me, been thinking that it might be time to put “The Book” about your family together. We will cover some hints how to make this seemingly insurmountable task one that you can handle. I am a big fan of small bites to achieve a big goal.  Usually the first hurdle is self-talk: “I am not a good writer.” Trust me—-it doesn’t matter. Your descendents will love anything you do. The corollary to the first adage is “But I am not done with my research yet!” You will never be done, so you need to get started anyway. Let's see what our options are for self-publishing!

Speaker: Jill Morelli, CG, is a writer, lecturer, and researcher specializing in methodology, the U.S. Midwest, and Scandinavia. In 2017, she founded the online “Certification Discussion Group,” sharing her journey and demystifying the process of submission of a portfolio to the Board for Certification of Genealogists.  Jill is past president of the Seattle Genealogical Society and co-founder of the Applied Genealogy Institute.
